The Helping Hand Social Work

I am a qualified social worker with experience spanning educational settings, out-of-home care (OoHC), and family support services. Over the years, I have had the privilege of working alongside individuals and families from diverse backgrounds, supporting clients aged from early childhood through to adulthood.
My practice is grounded in empathy, authenticity, and a deep commitment to walking alongside clients through all seasons of life. I take great joy in witnessing the growth and achievements of those I support and genuinely celebrate each success, no matter how big or small.
Outside of my professional role, I’m a proud parent to a neurodivergent child, which gives me personal insight into the unique challenges and complexities many families face when navigating support systems. This lived experience informs my practice and strengthens my advocacy for inclusive, accessible care.
At home, I’m kept company by my beloved dog and two cats, and I find joy in reading.
I’m here to support you with compassion, clarity, and a collaborative approach to achieving your goals.
I provide comprehensive Psycho Social and Functional Capacity Assessments to support NDIS applications, reviews, and service planning. These assessments are tailored to capture a holistic understanding of an individual’s daily functioning, mental health, social participation, and support needs.
Each assessment is conducted with care, cultural sensitivity, and clinical insight, ensuring that the final report accurately reflects the person’s strengths, challenges, and goals.
My approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, and person-centred—aimed at empowering individuals and their support networks with practical, evidence-based recommendations.
Whether you're applying for NDIS access or undertaking a plan review, I’m here to guide you through the process with clarity and compassion.
I offer individualised capacity building and support to help clients develop practical skills in emotional regulation, resilience, and goal setting. My approach is collaborative, person-centred, and grounded in evidence-based practice, supporting clients to build confidence, self-awareness, and independence.
Whether you're navigating anxiety, emotional overwhelm, life transitions, or simply want support in setting and achieving personal goals, sessions are tailored to meet you where you're at.
Together, we explore strategies that promote emotional balance, clear thinking, and meaningful progress—at a pace that feels right for you.
My role is to walk alongside you, providing encouragement, insight, and practical tools as you grow in your ability to manage challenges and work toward the life you want.
I provide tailored advocacy and case management support to help individuals and families navigate complex systems such as the NDIS, education, healthcare, mental health, and community services.
Whether you’re seeking access to services, facing systemic barriers, or needing help coordinating existing supports, I work alongside you to ensure your voice is heard, your rights are upheld, and your needs are clearly understood. This may involve attending meetings, liaising with service providers, assisting with applications or appeals, or simply helping you make sense of your options.
With a strong understanding of the challenges faced by neurodivergent individuals, families, and those living with disability or mental health conditions, my approach is practical, compassionate, and grounded in real-world experience.
